MR LEE HOOI SENG

Malaysian, aged 59, Male


Lee Hooi Seng is a Chartered Accountant and an Approved Company Auditors.

He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), a Fellow member of the Chartered Taxation Institute Malaysia (FCTIM) and a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (FCA).

He is a co-founder Partner in Messrs. CL Associates PLT, a newly set up Audit Firm under the Limited Liabilities Partnership (“LLP”) or in our national language Perkongsian Liabiliti Terhad (“PLT”).

He is also an Audit Partner in Messrs. H.S. Lee & Partners, firm of Chartered Accountants

Mr Lee has been in Chartered Accountancy practice since 1994. He has previously served in Price Waterhouse for over 9 years both overseas and in Malaysia.

He has vast experience in audit, internal audit, tax consultancy (income tax and GST), corporate planning, computerised systems, company secretarial etc. His work experience covers semi-state bodies, statutory organisations, financial institutions, manufacturing, trading, gaming, plantation, construction and property development, provision of services sectors etc. He has been involved in training internal auditors, reviews of system development implementation process and GST implementation.

He is currently a National Council Member of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (“ACCCIM”) cum Deputy Chairman of the ACCCIM Taxation Committee. He is also a Council Member of Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and North Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

As an active member in the Chinese business community, he often participates in dialogues with Government Ministries and Agencies regarding government policies, in particular income tax and GST matters. He speaks regularly in public forum on government incentives, bank facilities, Government’s Annual Budgets, tax planning etc. He has been a commentator at Astro and Oriental Daily Press on the Government’s Annual Budgets and he has been a newspapers columnist on tax matters.

Mr Lee was conferred A.M.N. title by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong in 2000 arising from his contributions in the business community.
